Founded in 1993 by President and CEO Avi Korein, S.I.S.S. has expanded from its Los Angeles headquarters to establish offices in New York and London. The firm also maintains strategic partnerships with security and intelligence providers, as well as related industries, across every continent.

S.I.S.S. personnel are highly trained professionals with backgrounds in military, federal, state, and local agencies, as well as counterterrorism, law enforcement, and close protection, across various jurisdictions globally. While the majority of our team is in the field or traveling with our clients, our logistics and investigations infrastructure, as well as our Senior Management, provide oversight to ensure the success of every operation and investigation. Avi Korein

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Avi Korein is the founder and CEO of S.I.S.S., with over 40 years of experience in special operations, threat assessment, intelligence gathering and analysis and high-level executive protection. He began his career in the Israeli military and security units focused on anti-terrorism and hostage response. In 1993, he established S.I.S.S. to meet the evolving needs of principal protection, reputation risk, and emerging global markets threat resolution. Under Avi’s leadership, our firm has grown into a globally licensed security and investigations company serving Fortune 500 corporations, film studios, law firms, and principal clients worldwide. Avi remains personally involved in officer training, operational planning, and the strategic direction of the firm’s protective, intelligence, and investigative services.

Randy Bowie

Chief Operating Officer

Randy Bowie serves as Chief Operating Officer of S.I.S.S., bringing nearly 40 years of experience in security operations and intelligence. A former U.S. Marine Corps Force Reconnaissance officer, he has led complex security programs for Fortune 500 executives and high-net-worth clients worldwide. At S.I.S.S., Randy oversees global operations spanning executive protection, estate security, maritime security, event logistics, and threat response. He also leads the firm’s intelligence and cyber investigation division, coordinating strategic resolutions to extortion, harassment, and reputational threats.

Gay Cobham

Senior Vice President

Gay Cobham is the Senior Vice President of Protective Services at S.I.S.S., with over 25 years of experience in executive protection and security operations. Since joining S.I.S.S. in 1997, he has led high-profile protective assignments across the U.S. and internationally. With a background in law enforcement and U.S. Army Special Operations, Gay’s expertise includes threat assessment, crisis management, estate security, and travel protection. He also oversees officer training and the development of Emergency Action Plans tailored to client needs. Gay is licensed to carry firearms and holds advanced certifications in executive protection and defensive tactics. His work spans award shows, sporting events, studio productions, and VIP travel security worldwide.

Mihran Asatorian

Controller

Mihran leads S.I.S.S.'s financial and accounting operations across the many jurisdictions that S.I.S.S. operates in around the world. He is a Certified Public Accountant with over two decades of experience in public, corporate, and governmental accounting. Prior to joining S.I.S.S. In 2017, Mihran worked at the U.S. Department of Defense, overseeing billions of dollars of defense contracts.

Andrea Lieberman

Vice President -  Global Logistical Operations

Andrea Lieberman has been with S.I.S.S. for over 20 years, leading global logistical operations across all territories and client engagements. Andrea is responsible for the coordination of complex deployments and the oversight of S.I.S.S. offices worldwide. Andrea joined S.I.S.S. following a career in film and television production. Her leadership ensures the seamless execution of protective services and large-scale security and logistics operations around the world.

Stephen Webb

Vice President – Global Security Operations

Stephen Webb is the Vice President of Security Operations at S.I.S.S., with 28 years of law enforcement experience and two decades in dignitary protection, threat assessment, and high-profile security planning. He retired as Assistant Chief of the California Highway Patrol, where he led the Office of Dignitary Protection and coordinated motorcade and event security for U.S. presidents, foreign heads of state, and elected officials. At S.I.S.S., Stephen oversees executive protection programs, residential security, and major event operations, providing strategic oversight and hands-on leadership for all high-risk assignments.

Claudia Paris

Vice President – Intelligence & Investigations

Claudia Paris is the Vice President of Intelligence & Investigations at S.I.S.S., where she has led complex investigations and intelligence operations for over 16 years. Claudia is a licensed Private Investigator, who oversees a multidisciplinary team specializing in litigation support, Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM), Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT), Social Media Intelligence (SOCMINT), digital forensics, and threat intelligence. Claudia’s expertise encompasses crisis management, threat assessment and management, cross-border investigations, and strategic risk mitigation. Claudia leads high-level engagements involving international due diligence, vulnerability analysis, and sensitive threat environments. Her oversight ensures each operation is executed with precision, discretion, and full alignment with client objectives.

Sheldon Munford

Vice President – Protective Services

Sheldon Munford is the Vice President of Protective Services at S.I.S.S., where he has delivered elite-level personal security and close protection services for over two decades. Since joining S.I.S.S. in 2001, Sheldon has been assigned to a wide range of high-profile clients across domestic and international environments. Sheldon leads executive protection operations, estate security programs, and special event deployments for high-profile clients around the globe. His background includes dignitary protection, threat assessments, advance work, and film production security. Certified in executive protection and defensive driving, Sheldon is licensed to carry firearms and has provided protective services across North America, Europe, Asia, and beyond.

Robert Marshall

Executive Director – Global Protective Services

Robert Marshall is the Executive Director of Global Protective Services at S.I.S.S., with over 20 years of experience in close protection and executive security. He has led high-level protective operations worldwide, supporting clients across the entertainment, corporate, and government sectors. His portfolio includes world tours, red carpet events, and international assignments in high-risk environments. Known for his discretion and strategic oversight, Robert is recognized for managing complex security logistics and safeguarding high-profile individuals. He holds a B.A. from Bucknell University and is certified in advanced defensive tactics, surveillance detection, and executive protection. Based in Los Angeles, Robert oversees global protective deployments and client coordination.

David Bryne

Senior Director – European Operations

David Byrne is the Senior Director of European Operations at S.I.S.S., bringing over 40 years of international experience in close protection, residential security management, and high-net-worth travel logistics. David has supported private families and high-profile principals across the U.K., Ireland, Switzerland, Monaco, and the South of France, leading multinational protective operations and long-term residential security projects. His background includes threat assessment, advance work, operational planning, and the coordination of complex operations involving fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, corporate facilities, and maritime assets globally. David’s credentials include advanced security driving certification, multiple executive protection qualifications, advanced martial arts training, and fluency in French. At S.I.S.S., he oversees all protective and residential security operations within the European Union, ensuring quality control, standardization and continuity of protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across current and future operations.

Jesse Medina

Senior Director of Logistical Operations

Jesse Medina is Senior Director of Logistical Operations at S.I.S.S. and has more than 15 years of experience working in various sectors of the entertainment industry, 10 of which have been spent in private security. At S.I.S.S., he is responsible for orchestrating simultaneous security details that stretch near and far, both domestically and internationally. As a connective tissue between personnel, clients and vendors, Jesse handles the complexities that are streamlined to support on-the-field operatives in multiple time zones on a day to day basis.

James Flanigan

Senior Director of East Coast Security Operations

James Flanigan is the Senior Director of East Coast Security Operations at S.I.S.S., bringing more than 28 years of experience across law enforcement, corporate security, and private sector operations, delivering a steady, practical approach to protecting people, assets, and complex organizations. A retired police lieutenant and former Special Operations Tour Commander, he specializes in executive protection, counterterrorism, threat assessments, crisis management, and large-scale site and event security. Throughout his career, Jim has safeguarded senior government officials, Fortune 500 executives, and mission-critical infrastructure while coordinating closely with public safety and regulatory partners. He has led multidisciplinary teams and security operations centers, overseeing high-value assets, multimillion-dollar budgets, and the integration of advanced security and emergency response systems. Jim has also served as an incident commander during major emergencies and planned events, working directly with executive leadership. In addition, he is an adjunct instructor at Rutgers University’s Center for Government Services, where he trains security professionals and first responders in incident command and site security.

Jessica Gray

Senior Analyst – Intelligence & Investigations

Jessica Gray is a Senior Analyst at S.I.S.S. with 15 years of experience in digital investigations and intelligence operations. Jessica supports the Intelligence & Investigations division at S.I.S.S., leading advanced digital monitoring, OSINT/SOCMINT research, and data-driven intelligence development. Jessica specializes in litigation-focused investigations, digital identity tracing, and reputational risk monitoring across the surface web, deep web, and dark web. Utilizing specialized methodologies to uncover concealed digital footprints and intentionally obscured online activity, she delivers actionable insights that drive complex high-stakes investigations.

Richard Garcia

Senior Consultant

Richard Garcia is a Senior Consultant at S.I.S.S., drawing on decades of law enforcement and corporate security leadership. He retired as an FBI Assistant Director following a 25-year career that included managing complex undercover operations and overseeing all telecommunications and secure communications infrastructure for the Bureau. After retiring from government service, Richard became Global Security Manager for Shell Oil, where he developed and implemented terrorism intelligence strategies across assets in 122 countries. He currently volunteers on several committees for the Houston Rodeo and serves as a Director on its Board.
